Learning Patience

blanketI am still just. . . .waiting.. . . for UDI to message me that I can go home. In the meantime I get my stress out by crocheting. The repetitiveness keeps me sane and productive.

The blanket I am working on is made of blues, greens and browns. It reminds me of the water surrounding my new home and what my husband grew up with. Kim grew up on an island. The water is just part of who he is. I mean, he is a Viking after all.

I call this blanket “The Seaside Blanket”. It is – without a doubt – beautiful. It’s beautiful for the colors but also because of who I think about while I make my stitches.
